1. Rules 

Pickleball is played on a court similar to badminton, with a net similar to tennis. The game can be played in singles or doubles, and the basic rules include: 

  • Serving: Must be done underhand, diagonally across the court. 
  • Double Bounce Rule: The ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed. 
  • No-Volley Zone: Players cannot volley the ball in the seven-foot zone (the 'kitchen') directly in front of the net. 
  • Scoring: Games are typically played to 11 points, win by 2.

2. Equipment 

To play Pickleball, you need: 



  • Paddle: Similar to a large ping-pong paddle, made of lightweight composite materials. 
  • Ball: Similar to a Wiffle ball, but slightly harder. 
  • Net: A lower net than tennis, similar in height to badminton. 
  • Court: A badminton-sized court with specific markings for Pickleball.
